Time: 10am – 4pm Â
Price: £78.00 including materials & refreshments

This relaxed introductory course into stencil printing will teach you how to create beautiful botanical patterns on both fabric and paper, with the day’s main activity decorating a cushion cover.
Working with Melanie’s own stencil designs inspired by her love of gardens and the Dorset countryside, the workshop is perfect for both complete beginners and those who may have used stencils before.
Using her creative approach and novel system you will be guided through the process of building and layering up a design, she will share with you her knowledge, techniques and tips for successful printing onto fabric. Finally learning how to fix the decoration to ensure that the cushion cover is fully hand washable.
By the end of the day you will have a beautifully decorated cushion cover plus the confidence to continue with this fun method of decoration on paper, fabric and even wood…the opportunities for projects are endless!
All materials are supplied along with aprons to wear, but best come in clothes you are happy to get mucky.
Should you require a 50 x 50cm cushion inner pad they can be purchased on the day for an additional £5.00
Additional info
The great news is that stencilling is not rocket science, there are a few basic techniques and principles to use in order to get great results. All of this will be covered at the very start of the workshop with plenty of practice time before starting on your very own cushion project.
The morning will start off with getting used to using the stencils and building confidence on paper and greeting cards.
Once you feel more confident having created some pretty stencilled card designs, the skills and techniques learnt in the morning will lead on to decorating your cushion cover.
