Would you like to enjoy a colourful container of gorgeous flowers next Spring in your garden? If so, come & plant it up at this relaxed, friendly workshop in the museum garden.

You’ll plant your Springtime bulbs in a ‘lasagne’ of colourful layers to keep the interest coming through the early months of the year.

The afternoon will start with a welcome cup of tea/coffee on arrival. Afterwards, Alison, our Gardener and plant expert will guide you as you layer a large container full of bulbs. The bulbs will have been chosen to give colour in succession from mid-February to May.

This relaxing afternoon session is suitable for all & no experience of container gardening is necessary. It would be a perfect seasonal treat for you or a lovely gift for a flower loving friend. Why not make it an afternoon out together?

Please bring your chosen container with you. Everything else you’ll need is included –  compost, drainage & a selection of quality bulbs.

Recommended container size is 30cm deep.

There is no parking at the museum but you can drive up to the back entrance to load your car at the end of the workshop. Staff will be on hand to assist if required.
