Yee ha! Families are invited to saddle up for an out-of-this-world adventure at Wimborne’s Museum of East Dorset this October, as the museum launches its new Cowboys in Space mission.
A herd of cows has been abducted by mischievous aliens and the cowboys need your help to bring the herd home. Young explorers can search for the missing cows hidden throughout the museum and complete a series of space-themed challenges along the way.
Get ready for your mission with our life-sized Balancing Bronco – a Buckaroo-inspired challenge. Can you pack up your kit without sending the load tumbling?
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, Blast Off! Test your strength with the Rocket Striker challenge – how far can you blast the rocket?
In the garden you will find the giant space-themed marble maze – can you carefully guide the cattle through space and safely back to the farm?
Visitors can also get creative at the craft table, dress up as cowboys, cowgirls, astronauts or cows and enjoy themed photo opportunities – including the humongous rocket waiting for visitors in the garden.
The cowboys will be galloping into the Museum of East Dorset from Saturday 3rd October until Saturday 7th November (inclusive).
With museum trails, hands-on challenges, crafts and dressing-up, Cowboys in Space offers families a great-value, playful way to explore the museum this autumn.
Best of all, purchase one admission ticket and receive an annual pass, giving you return entry for a whole year at no extra cost.
