The Information Centre was founded by a team of volunteers in 1980 in a redundant bar at the Kings Head Hotel in Wimborne Minster. It was moved to its current location in the historic house in 1990. Following the recent major refurbishment project, the Information Centre was fully integrated into the Museum of East Dorset. Today, 40 years on, our staff and volunteers continue to welcome thousands of visitors a year.
