Include and Develop Team

The Museum of East Dorset is embarking on an enriching initiative to bring the community closer to the rich heritage and culture of East Dorset. We recognize the importance of making our museum a more inclusive and accessible space, welcoming visitors from all walks of life and ensuring every individual feels a sense of belonging.

This project aims to reflect the diversity of our community and enhance the visitor experience by incorporating a variety of perspectives and insights. By doing so, we aspire to bridge gaps, foster understanding, and ensure the stories and histories we preserve resonate with everyone. This initiative will run 6 sessions from December to February, with sessions planned around the availability of the selected participants.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about making public spaces more inclusive and accessible. Whether you have a keen interest in heritage, a desire to contribute to community well-being, or a personal connection to the themes of access and inclusion, we want to hear from you! We are looking for applicants who embody enthusiasm, curiosity, and a commitment to fostering inclusivity and accessibility within the museum. An interest in community engagement, a willingness to share insights and experiences, and a collaborative spirit are highly valued. A passion for heritage or experiences with diverse communities can be advantageous, it is your dedication to making a positive impact and contributing to the inclusivity of the Museum of East Dorset that will set you apart. We welcome applicants of all backgrounds and experiences who share our vision for a more inclusive and accessible museum experience for all.
