Wimborne’s Museum of East Dorset is delighted to unveil the return of its much‑loved Tea Room Makers’ Market, taking place on Saturday 28 March, Saturday 20 June and Saturday 26 September, from 10am to 4pm. This vibrant seasonal market champions local creativity, bringing together talented artists, crafters and small businesses for three uplifting days of community shopping and inspiration.
Visitors can expect a charming mix of handmade goods, unique finds and thoughtful designs, all created by independent makers from across Dorset. From textiles and ceramics to jewellery, prints, homewares, produce and artisan gifts, the Makers’ Market offers something special for every taste and budget. It’s the perfect place to discover new talent, support local enterprise and enjoy a relaxed day out in the heart of Wimborne Minster.
And of course, no visit would be complete without a stop at the museum’s much‑loved Tea Room, which will be open throughout the day serving a selection of delicious cakes, bakes and light refreshments which can be enjoyed in the beautiful museum walled garden if the sun is shining.
The Museum of East Dorset is actively seeking local artisans, designers and small creative businesses to join the market. “Whether you’re an established maker or just beginning your creative journey, this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your work, meet customers face‑to‑face and be part of a friendly, supportive community event,” explained Events Officer Amy Webster.
Stallholders are encouraged to get in touch early, as spaces are limited and demand is expected to be high.
