Other service details: Enlisted in Aug 1914. Disembarked at Le Havre 22 Aug 1914. Received a bullet in his left thigh on 26 Aug 1914. After receiving care in 11th General Hospital in Boulogne during Nov and Dec he rejoined his unit at Kemmel in the Ypres salient on 16 Jan 1915. In Jul 1916 George was at the Battle of the Somme.
