Museum of East Dorset invites you to create a Community Celebratory Pennant
The Museum of East Dorset is inviting local community organisations to become a part of history and feature in our new exhibition: ‘East Dorset Celebrates: 70 years of Fun and Festivities’. We’re asking you to design and make a double-sided pennant that represents your organisation or group in our community. A template is provided below for guidance.
The pennant can be made in whichever way you like. For example, it could be knitted, embroidered, collaged, patchworked, felted or painted onto fabric in any colour… just let your imaginations run wild! However, please do not use paper or card because we want the pennants to stand the test of time.
You must use the template provided and keep within the dimensions set out on the triangle. Please create a top seam using extra fabric which will allow cord/ bias to be threaded through when we put them all together.
Please pop your Community Celebratory Pennants in the post or drop them off at the Museum of East Dorset, 23-29 High Street, Wimborne Minster, Dorset BH21 1HR. Please include your name, group/organisation name, as well as address and email details. We will be displaying the pennants as part of our new exhibition when it opens in April, so please send them into the museum by Saturday 30th April.
Any Further enquiries, please contact our Learning and Community Engagement Officer, Lara Longford at: [email protected]
Include your group name and logo if you can! These are just examples.
