A book lover’s paradise, the second-hand bookshop, located in our Georgian book room and beyond, is the perfect place to find a literary gem. Stock up on classics, favourites and children’s literature, as well as some more unusual and unique works.
The two rooms offer a broad selection to satisfy anyone’s tastes. Browse through row upon row of captivating fiction in the back room or spend some time in our beautifully restored Georgian panelled room searching for that timeless classic to take away. You can also find a wide selection of non-fiction books including travel, gardening, crafts and more.
The bookshop is stocked by donations from the public and run by a small, devoted team of volunteers. This means that all proceeds raised go directly to the Trust to support the work of the Museum of East Dorset. We are always very happy to receive further book donations and any subject categories are very welcome.
If you would like to find out more about what we have to offer or arrange a delivery of donated books, please give us a call on 01202 886116.
